“If I didn’t learn how to dress, I would’ve been an outcast.“
My autism diagnosis at 3 1/2 years old brought challenges with communicating with others, especially with like-minded people my age. I experienced bullying and rejection solely because I lacked interaction with other people.
Until I learned that the way I put on clothes helped me communicate and interact with other people.
Fashion magazines and What Not To Wear became the tools I needed to give myself an image makeover – how to pick clothes that compliment my shape best, find colors keep my skin radiant, and communicate with others through my personal style journey. With the wardrobe and image transformation, I cultivated strong relationships with high-profile community figures and ambitious people my age. If I didn’t learn how to dress, I would’ve been an outcast.
I lost myself in current trends, ultra fast fashion hauls, and unflattering silhouettes. Through my wardrobe glow-up process, I increased confidence in the styles I feel the happiest in. Through my image consulting agency, DS Styles, you’re the next person to participate in the glow up process.
Now help me cultivate a thriving business.
With love, Desi
